Turkey Strikes Kurdish Forces in Northern Iraq
The Turkish Ministry of Defense reports that on May 13, four Kurdish militants were killed as a result of airstrikes conducted by the Turkish Air Force in the Hakurk and Metina regions of northern Iraq, according to RegionMonitor.
According to an official post on the Ministry's Twitter page, the airstrikes targeted militants from the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), which is deemed a terrorist organization in Turkey.
The Turkish Defense Ministry also stated that the Turkish Armed Forces are determined to continue military operations against the PKK.
