Road to Kari Lake Closed, Road to Amberd Fortress Difficult to Pass

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that as of 08:30 on May 13, motorways in the Republic of Armenia are mostly passable.

The road to Kari Lake in the Aragatsotn province will remain closed for an indefinite period, while the road to Amberd Fortress is difficult to pass.

Regarding Lars, according to information received from the Emergency Management Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open only for freight transport after intensive snow removal work.

At the same time, we inform that the decision to prohibit the entry of foreigners into Georgia remains in force. The ban does not apply to cargo transport.
