Video: Arsen Torosyan Shows Images of Patients' Affected Lungs
The Minister of Health of Armenia, Arsen Torosyan, today demonstrated the lung images of patients with coronavirus during a live broadcast from the Diagnostic Division of Grigor Lusavorich Medical Center.
“They undergo CT scans to see the objective picture of lung damage. We are also bringing patients from other hospitals for this examination. Another computed tomography (CT) machine is being installed in the Norq Infectious Diseases Hospital so that patients admitted there can undergo CT scans immediately before being transferred to other hospitals,” the minister stated.
Healthcare workers showcased similar damaged examples on the computer, and Torosyan commented, “This is the glassy opacities syndrome, which is characteristic of coronavirus disease. In fact, death occurs when oxygen does not enter the bloodstream because the lung tissues are damaged.”
