VIDEO: "Korea Valley" Cleared of Construction Waste, Council Member Says
Yerevan City Council member Lusine Gevorgyan wrote on her Facebook page: "The Yerevan Waste Collection and Sanitation Agency recently cleaned the area known as 'Korea Valley' from construction waste and other debris. The area was entirely buried under construction debris. We ask, especially citizens and organizations conducting construction work, to refrain from dumping waste in this area. It is illegal and can result in significant legal consequences.
I suggest joining our initiative to plant trees in the cleared area, beautify the space, and turn it into a recreation zone. This way, we will keep the area safe from the risk of turning it back into a dump."
It is worth noting that the area is quite extensive, and without necessary monitoring, it will be difficult to prevent the accumulation of waste there.
