Search Operations for Missing Citizen in Sevan Resumed
On May 5, at 10:30 AM, two rescue teams from the regional emergency management agency's special underwater rescue unit were dispatched to the 9th Wave beach to continue search operations for a missing citizen.
It is noteworthy that on April 27, at 10:10 AM, the National Crisis Management Center received information that a car belonging to a recently missing citizen was found near the Sevan Peninsula in Gegharkunik Province, along with some of their clothing. The assistance of underwater rescuers was necessary to conduct search and rescue operations in the lake.
Two rescue teams from the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) of Gegharkunik Province traveled to the scene. The search operations were suspended, as the drowned citizen was not found. It was discovered that the vehicle and belongings belonged to Volodya V., a resident of Abovyan City, born in 1988.
From April 29 to May 4, the special underwater rescue unit of the regional emergency management agency conducted search operations in the area of the 9th Wave beach; these efforts ended without success.
