LIVE: The Next Four-Day Session of the National Assembly Is Underway
Today, May 5, the next four-day sessions of the National Assembly have commenced. The agenda includes 27 items, among which are the report on the implementation and results of the Government program approved by Decision No. 65-A of the Government of the Republic of Armenia on February 8, 2019, the annual report on the activities of the Human Rights Defender of Armenia during 2019, the status of human rights and freedoms protection, and the annual report on the activities of the Human Rights Defender of Armenia as a national mechanism for prevention.
Also included is the extension of the investigation committee's term, which explores the legality, justification, and credibility of the financial and other reports submitted to the executive authorities regarding investment programs in the metallic ore mining sector, the ratification of the Council of Europe Convention on the Protection of Children against Sexual Exploitation and Sexual Abuse, the ratification of the Beijing Treaty on Audiovisual Performances, the ratification of the Agreement on Trade in Services and Investments between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Singapore, amendments to the law on Advocacy, and additions to the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia.
