Highway Accessibility in Armenia

The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that as of May 4 at 08:15, highways within the territory of Armenia are mostly passable. However, the roads leading to Amberd Fortress and Kari Lake in Aragatsotn Province will remain closed for an indefinite period.

According to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the crisis management center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars highway is open only for freight transport after intensive snow clearance operations.

The decision to prohibit the entry of foreigners into Georgia remains in effect, but the ban does not apply to freight transportation.
