Earthquake in Azerbaijan-Georgia Border Zone Felt in Tavush and Lori Regions
On May 4th, at 00:04 local time (20:04 GMT on May 3rd), the seismic network of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia recorded an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.1. The epicenter of the earthquake is located in the Azerbaijan-Georgia border zone, 38 km north of Ganja city. The geographical coordinates of the epicenter are 41.02 degrees north latitude and 46.32 degrees east longitude. The focus of the earthquake was at a depth of 10 km.
The intensity of the earthquake reached 5-6 points in the epicentral area. Tremors were felt in the Tavush and Lori regions with an intensity of 2-3 points.
