Spain Eases Certain Restrictions, Allows Residents to Leave Their Homes
After seven weeks of strict quarantine due to the coronavirus pandemic, Spain has begun to ease some restrictions starting May 2, according to Deutsche Welle.
Residents living in the same household are now allowed to go for walks together or engage in sports activities. This measure is part of the Spanish authorities' long-term plan to gradually lift restrictions.
Since April 26, it has been permissible to take children under 14 out for walks, accompanied by one adult.
Spain had imposed the strictest confinement measures in Europe, with a prohibition on leaving homes. Approximately 25,000 people have died from the virus in the country, but the number of daily deaths has been decreasing in recent days.
