32-Year-Old Patient in Critical Condition Recovering from Coronavirus Returns Home
A 32-year-old patient who was in critical condition has recovered from coronavirus and returned home today. This was announced on Facebook by Karen Poghosyan, the Deputy Director for General and Operational Issues at the Scientific Center for Traumatology and Orthopedics.
“I have good news this evening: We sent home our most critically ill patient, 32-year-old Kh.V. He was admitted to our center on March 28, diagnosed with confirmed coronavirus, bilateral infiltrative pneumonia, grade 3 respiratory failure, and in critical condition. He had been connected to a ventilator in the intensive care unit. The entire staff of the intensive care unit, under the leadership of department head Anahit Barseghyan, fought around the clock for the patient’s life.
Today, our patient left our center walking, with a backpack on his shoulder and a smile on his face. Special thanks to the staff of the intensive care unit and the entire team. We fight together,” Poghosyan wrote.
