Passport and Visa Department Issues Statement on Visa Stamp
As of April 30, Armenian citizens living in the Republic of Armenia and abroad can have the validity of their old sample/non-biometric passport marked with a visa stamp for a maximum period of 10 years, but not exceeding the overall expiration date of the passport.
It is noteworthy that prior to this change, the maximum period was set at 5 years. Thus, when receiving an old sample passport, citizens can have the validity mark made for 10 years and will not need to repeatedly apply to passport services, Armenian embassies, or consular services until the overall expiration of the passport.
