5996 New Coronavirus Cases Discovered in Russia

The number of patients infected with the coronavirus in the Russian Federation has increased to 74,588. Over the course of a day, 5966 new cases of infection have been confirmed. Half of the new cases show no evident symptoms, officials from the operational headquarters for the fight against the spread of coronavirus in Russia have reported.

"In the last 24 hours, coronavirus cases have been confirmed in 83 regions of Russia," the report states. In Moscow, 85% of patients are under the age of 65. Currently, there are 39,509 active cases in the capital. All individuals who have had contact with infected patients are under medical supervision.

In the past day, 66 people have died from the coronavirus. The total number of deaths has reached 681.
