Additional $600,000 from the People of America to Armenia as Support

Additional funding from the people of America to Armenia to support the fight against COVID-19. This was reported by USAID Armenia.

“The U.S. government, through the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), will provide Armenia with an additional $600,000 to combat the COVID-19 pandemic. These funds, along with the recently announced $1.1 million in financing, will be used in the following areas:

• Preparing laboratory systems
• Activating the detection of new cases and controlling reported cases
• Supporting technical specialists to improve response and preparedness levels
• Enhancing risk communication and developing other necessary areas,” the statement said.
