President of the Independent Turkey Party Dies from Coronavirus in Turkey

The president of the Independent Turkey Party (BTP), Haydar Baş, has died from coronavirus in Turkey, as reported by Ermenihaber.

The 73-year-old party leader, along with eight members of his family, was hospitalized due to suspected coronavirus in one of the hospitals in the Akçaabat district of Trabzon. They underwent testing and all results came back positive.

Baş was under special medical supervision for four days but was transferred to the intensive care unit the day before his death due to respiratory problems that had developed. Despite all necessary interventions by the medical staff, they were unable to save his life.
