A Record Number of PCR Tests Conducted as Part of the Development of Coronavirus Diagnostic Laboratory Capacities
As a result of the program aimed at developing the country’s laboratory capabilities for coronavirus diagnostics, a record number of PCR tests were conducted yesterday, totaling 680 samples. This was announced by the Minister of Health, Arsen Torosyan, on his Facebook page.
“In the picture is the Vanadzor branch of the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC) of Armenia, where PCR tests for coronavirus diagnosis have been conducted for the past two days. The branch meets the required biosafety level and is equipped with the necessary devices and personnel capacity.
Currently, it serves the Lori and Shirak regions. As part of the program for developing laboratory capabilities for coronavirus diagnostics, a record number of PCR tests were conducted yesterday, totaling 680 samples,” he wrote.
