Belarus Refuses to Purchase Russian Coronavirus Test Kits
The Belarusian authorities have refused to purchase Russian-made test kits for the detection of the coronavirus. Initially, negotiations failed, and Belarus subsequently opted out of the purchase. This was reported by the Russian news website Gazeta.ru.
“We were negotiating with two Russian companies to buy 30,000 tests, but those talks reached a deadlock. Now, we no longer need those tests,” stated Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei.
He added that they have already commenced the independent production of tests, and in the meantime, they have received 50,000 tests from other countries.
