Putin Implements Preventive Measures Against Coronavirus: New Instructions Issued

Russian President Vladimir Putin has proposed a series of measures to combat the coronavirus pandemic during an online meeting with the government and regional governors. According to RIA Novosti, the main task set by the president is to combat the spread of the disease, protect people's health and lives, ensure a stable economy, and maintain citizens' employment and income.

According to the Russian leader, all regions must focus on enhancing the preparedness of medical institutions and equipping them with necessary resources and capabilities.

The key directives from the president include: the finance ministry should demonstrate flexibility in the allocation of funds for measures against the coronavirus, provide the same insurance guarantees for doctors as for military personnel, establish special payments for doctors fighting the virus for three months starting in April, and expand the criteria for granting credit holidays.
