Import Duties on Certain Food Products and Medical Supplies Eliminated
On April 3, during a meeting of the Eurasian Economic Commission Council No. 33, with the participation of Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan, a list of critical imported goods was approved, for which tariff exemptions are established from April 1 to June 30, 2020, in terms of exemptions from customs duties when importing from third countries to the EAEU member states.
The list includes a range of agricultural and food products, particularly potatoes, onions, garlic, cabbage, carrots, peppers, cereals, rice, buckwheat, juices, and ready-made food products for baby nutrition, as well as certain medicines and medical supplies.
This decision has already come into effect and applies to the goods listed in the annex of the decision. Also in effect is Decision No. 34, which expands the list of personal protective equipment, disinfectants, and certain medical devices and materials allowed for import from third countries to the EAEU territory, with customs duties on these imports also eliminated until September 30 of this year.
