A love confession has come at a considerable cost for one resident of the village of Garajala, according to aliq.ge. A young man, along with five friends, decided to propose to his beloved. During the surprise event, the police approached the group.

All seven participants of the 'hands asking' ceremony were fined. The young men claim that they did not violate the curfew rules, as they were outside at 8:00 PM. The police apparently considered the presence of more than three people in one place as a violation.

The group lit a heart-shaped fire in the village square. The total fine for the seven individuals amounts to 21,000 lari (approximately $7,000). For the first-time violation of the general quarantine rules, an individual is fined 3,000 lari.

The parents of the fined youths have already stated that they refuse to pay, as they cannot afford such amounts, and they intend to appeal the decision in court.
