Coronavirus Diagnosed in Resident of Gokht Village, Kotayk Province; He is an Employee of Vardashen Penitentiary
Coronavirus has been diagnosed in a resident of Gokht village in Kotayk Province. This was reported to NEWS.am by the village mayor, Karen Gabrielyan, noting that the approximately 30-year-old man works at the Vardashen penitentiary.
“On Saturday, he underwent testing, and the presence of the coronavirus was confirmed. He was subsequently transferred to the Artashat medical center. Family members have been isolated at home,” said Gabrielyan. The mayor indicated that the infected person is feeling well and does not exhibit severe symptoms typical of the disease.
“His circle of contacts is not large; nonetheless, we have isolated everyone at home, and so far no one is reporting health complaints. Every morning we disinfect the village streets, shops, and everything with chlorinated water,” he added.
