Two Coronavirus Infected Individuals in Tavush Region, One of Whom is Uzbek: Hayk Chobanyan
Currently, there are two individuals infected with the coronavirus in the Tavush region, one of whom is of Uzbek nationality. This was stated by the governor of Tavush, Hayk Chobanyan, during a news broadcast on H1 TV.
"Every day, more than 100 vehicles cross the Georgian border. It is our duty to monitor this movement, but there can also be such cases," Chobanyan noted.
According to Chobanyan, there are over 30 individuals in isolation in the region who are contacts of the identified cases.
"We have 7 sanitary checkpoints in the region, which aim not only to detect sick or symptomatic individuals but also to regulate internal migration movements," added the governor.
