No Armenian Citizens or Buses Currently Returning at the Upper Lars Checkpoint
At the Upper Lars checkpoint on the Russo-Georgian border, there are currently no Armenian citizens or buses returning to Armenia, according to Anna Naghdalyan, spokesperson for the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who spoke to Aysor.am.
“According to data from the last 30 minutes, there are no Armenian citizens or buses at the Upper Lars checkpoint,” she stated.
She emphasized that Armenian citizens cannot use land routes to return from Russia, as the Upper Lars checkpoint has been closed since March 18, open exclusively for freight transport.
Earlier, it was reported that an Armenian citizen at Moscow's Domodedovo Airport, H.M., mentioned that some of their relatives have been attempting to return to Armenia by bus, having been stuck at the Lars checkpoint for several days.
