First COVID-19 Death Recorded in Georgia
Georgia has recorded its first death due to COVID-19. Levan Ratiani, the director of the University Clinic, announced this during a press conference.
The deceased was a 79-year-old woman who was transferred to the clinic on March 31. She was a representative of the Marneuli-Bolnisi cluster. Initially, the patient's condition was assessed as severe.
As of now, COVID-19 has been confirmed in 156 individuals in Georgia, of whom 28 have already recovered.
