‘Zhoghovourd’. What is the picture of the elections in Artsakh
‘Zhoghovourd’ newspaper reports: “In Artsakh, 76,471 voters participated in the presidential and parliamentary elections, or 72.7% of the total number of voters. This is a high figure, especially considering the global spread of the coronavirus. As is known, 12 political forces participated in the parliamentary elections, while 14 candidates competed for the presidency.
And preliminary results from yesterday indicated that the outcomes of the elections were predetermined in the first round, with Arayik Harutyunyan expected to become the president of Artsakh. According to the results of the parliamentary elections, the ‘Free Homeland-KMD’ alliance led by him was followed by Samvel Babayan’s ‘United Homeland’ party.”
