Export of Certain Food Products from EAEU Countries Prohibited until June 30
According to the official website of the EAEU, during the meeting of the Collegium of the Eurasian Economic Commission on March 31, a decision was made to implement a "second package" of measures against the coronavirus, which includes a ban on the export of certain food products from EAEU member countries until June 30.
The list of prohibited goods includes coarsely ground flour, cereal grains, hulled buckwheat grains, other processed foods made from buckwheat, crushed and uncrushed soybean and sunflower seeds, onions, garlic, turnips, carrots, rice, buckwheat, and oats. According to the EEC, the ban will ensure an adequate quantity of food products for the population when the sanitary-epidemiological situation is "resolved."
The decision will come into effect within 10 days after its publication on the EAEU website.
