Live Update: National Assembly Session Includes Amendments to the Law on Banks and Banking Activities

The National Assembly continues its extraordinary session that began yesterday. The agenda includes issues related to amendments to the Law on the Legal Regime of the State of Emergency, additions to the Law on Electronic Communications, amendments to the Law on Medical Assistance and Service for the Population, ratification of the loan agreement between the Republic of Armenia and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development for the "Second Additional Financing for the Improvement of the Vital Road Network Program," changes and amendments to the Law on Joint Stock Companies, amendments and additions to the Law on Banks and Banking Activities, and changes and amendments to the Law on Insurance and Insurance Activities.

It is noteworthy that yesterday the Assembly approved in the first reading bills concerning the protection of personal data, the right to freedom of communication and privacy, as well as the legislation regarding the non-autopsy of individuals who died due to the coronavirus.
