It is Recommended Not to Use Gas-Powered Cars During the Pandemic: "Jamoodyut"
According to the "Jamoodyut" newspaper, "The newspaper has been receiving alerts from drivers that there is simply no liquid gas available at the gas stations in the republic. The newspaper learned that liquid gas is imported not only from Iraq but also from Russia and Iran. However, both drivers and importers claim that the Iranian liquid gas is of lower quality; there have even been instances where cars have experienced issues due to using it.
In response to these alerts, the newspaper spoke with Mikayel Tigranyan, the head of the company “Expert Tech,” who noted that the reason for this situation is the closure of borders intended to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. The specialist advised drivers to use gasoline during this period, as the price of gasoline has been decreasing against the backdrop of the global situation. As of yesterday, at some gas stations, a liter of regular gasoline was priced at 300 drams.
“There will be no crisis regarding gasoline, as import companies have supplies in stock. Meanwhile, the liquid gas sector is just developing; large reserves have not been established, and people did not stockpile in time, leading to current issues,” he noted.
From the gas-importing company “Gaz Propan,” we were informed: “At this moment, there is liquid gas available at all Gaz Propan gas stations. There was an issue a few days ago, but currently, we have no problems.”
