Parliament Holds Extraordinary Session: Details
The National Assembly will convene an extraordinary session today at 11:00 AM at the initiative of the Government.
During the extraordinary session, the Assembly will discuss as a first and second reading a package of draft laws aimed at amending the Law on the Legal Regime of Emergency Situations and the Law on Electronic Communications, as well as amendments to the Law on Medical Aid and Services for the Population. They will also ratify the loan agreement on the "Second Additional Financing for the Improvement of Vital Road Networks" between the Republic of Armenia and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development. Other discussed topics will include amendments to the Law on Joint Stock Companies and the Law on Banks and Banking Activities, as well as changes to the Law on Insurance and Insurance Activities.
It is worth noting that yesterday, Deputy Prime Minister and Chief of the Office of the Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan announced that a legislative package will be discussed in the National Assembly, which will enable us to obtain information more efficiently about individuals who have been confirmed to have contracted the coronavirus in an online mode. "The main goal of this discussion will be to coordinate all our efforts and actions and direct them towards one goal. It is very important for us to talk today about the processes that are taking place and how the chains of infection are being identified. We will present what toolkit has already been created and how it can be used to make the detection process more efficient," he said.
