Ministry of Defense Issues Statement

The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia has issued a statement. In recent days, there have been concerns regarding the control of the situation within the armed forces in connection with the spread of the new coronavirus infection in the Republic of Armenia, along with suggestions to bring the army to a barracks status.

The Ministry of Defense assesses the concern and care of various public circles, but assures that it is making all necessary efforts around the clock to keep the armed forces as safe as possible from the coronavirus infection.

We are confident that the Armed Forces are capable of overcoming this pandemic challenge as well and are unwaveringly fulfilling their mission to ensure the inviolability of the state borders.
