Flower and Plant Trade Allowed as New Decision from the Chief of Police
The Chief of Police has announced a new decision regarding the restriction of economic activities under the state of emergency, allowing the operation of certain types of economic activities while imposing new bans on several others. The details of the new decision were disclosed during a press conference by Varos Simonian, the Deputy Minister of Economy of Armenia.
“Certain types of economic activities that are not very necessary at this moment have been removed. At the same time, the types of economic activities that are supportive, i.e., ensuring the uninterrupted operation of food products, have increased,” said the deputy minister.
According to the new decision, car maintenance and repair, retail trade of car parts and accessories, retail trade of motorcycle parts and accessories, as well as the trade of animal feeds and plants, including flowers, have been permitted.
“The previous decision prohibited the operation of flower shops. Now, the sale of plants, flowers, animals, and feeds in specialized shops is permitted,” remarked the deputy minister, adding that there are also updates in several other types of activities. According to the deputy minister, the operations of laboratories have also been reopened.
