Children of Parents Who Lost Jobs During This Period Will Receive Assistance

The government, during its meeting today, adopted one of the anti-crisis decisions stating that children of parents who lost their jobs during the state of emergency, specifically from March 13 to March 25, will receive assistance. However, there are certain conditions.

The assistance will be provided to families with children under 14 years of age and with any of the following circumstances:

• Both parents were laid off from work during the period from March 13, 2020, to March 25, 2020.
• One parent was laid off during the period, while the other was unemployed.
• One parent was laid off during the period, and the other is deceased, recognized as deceased, or missing.
• A single mother or a parent living with the child (if the child's parents are divorced) was laid off during this same period.

This assistance will amount to 100,000 drams per child.
