122 People Die of Coronavirus in Iran in One Day

In Iran, over 1700 people have contracted the coronavirus in a single day, with 122 fatalities reported. The total number of infected individuals in the country is approaching 25,000, while the death toll has reached nearly 2,000. This information was reported by the РИА Новости news agency, citing the official representative of the Iranian Ministry of Health, Kianoush Jahanpour.

“In the past day, 1762 new cases of coronavirus infection have been identified in various provinces of the country. Considering these cases, the total number of infections has reached 24,811. Unfortunately, 122 individuals have died in the past day, bringing the total death toll to 1934,” Jahanpour reported.

He also noted that 8913 people have recovered from the coronavirus.
