We Made the Decision to Isolate Employees of Armenian Air Navigation: Torosyan

The Minister of Health of Armenia, Arsen Torosyan, met with journalists today to discuss the isolation of employees from the Armenian Air Navigation company. He stated, ‘In fact, we made this decision considering the nature of their work, as it was not possible to isolate them elsewhere. Why did we isolate them? Because a virus was found in one of their employees, confirmed by a case, and after that, some of them developed a fever and were tested. All tests have come back negative, meaning that at this point there is no reasonable suspicion that they are infected. However, even if there were, we would adopt a different strategy here, depending on the degree of manifestation of the illness.’

Torosyan noted that if the situation is mild, it is possible to organize everything on-site, considering the nature of their work. However, if there is a life-threatening danger, they will be hospitalized regardless of their work done, in order to provide proper medical care.
