Heavy Snow on Gyumri-Ashotsk Road, Roads Closed with Vehicles Accumulated

Due to heavy snow and insufficient visibility, there are accumulated vehicles on the Gyumri-Ashotsk highway. The Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure reports this.

“For safety reasons and with the aim of removing the accumulated vehicles, the road will remain closed. We urge you not to travel in this direction and to strictly follow the instructions of police and contractor staff.”

It is noted that throughout the country, the Road Department employees are monitoring the highways while personally overseeing the progress of the works. If deficiencies are discovered, appropriate instructions are given to the employees of the contractor organization serving that region.

Drivers are once again urged to be cautious, demonstrate vigilance, strictly adhere to traffic rules, and to travel exclusively on winter tires,” the statement says.
