Government to Provide 150 Billion Dram Support to Economy

The Government of Armenia will provide support to the economy amounting to 150 billion drams soon. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this in an interview with Shant TV.

“We need to support our economy. In the near future, the government will provide at least 150 billion drams of support to the economy. We have prepared a package that can be implemented practically within a few days. We will allocate 25 billion drams for a program that will support companies that take loans from Armenian banks to pay their employees' salaries in drams and for other issues, with the government co-financing 50% of that loan at 0%, while subsidizing the bank's interest rate,” said Pashinyan.

The Prime Minister noted that the government has set a serious task to also support agriculture. “We have set the task of subsidizing agricultural loans until it becomes 0%,” the Prime Minister emphasized.

Pashinyan added that they have prepared a 30 billion dram package for urgent social support, and an 80 billion dram package for organizations that will prepare Armenia for a new world.
