The Number of Coronavirus Infections in Iran Reaches 139, 19 Deaths Registered

The number of people infected with coronavirus in Iran has reached 139, with 19 individuals reported dead. This was announced by Kianush Jahanpur, a representative of the country's Ministry of Health.

"From yesterday until noon on February 26, 44 new cases of coronavirus infection have been confirmed. With the addition of these 44 cases, the total number of infections has reached 139," he stated during a broadcast on Iranian television. Jahanpur also reported four new fatalities due to the virus. Thus, the total number of deaths has reached 19.

The increase in the number of infected individuals by 44 represents the highest figure recorded since February 19, as reported by RIA Novosti.
