"We Ask for Citizens' Forgiveness": Social Security Service

In response to Suren Parysan's article dated January 15, 2020, disseminated through mass media, stating that "This confusion, which is created by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and the Ministry of Justice when granting a one-time benefit for childbirth, is incomprehensible and unacceptable," the Social Security Service clarifies that the mentioned case is of a private nature.

The clarification further states: "The banks of the Republic of Armenia have the ability to identify individuals by their first and last name, date of birth, and public service number. Given this situation, the Service requests citizens' forgiveness for the additional inconvenience and has conducted further clarifications in the procedures of the banks cooperating with the Service to avoid similar issues in the future."

Recall that citizen Suren Parysan had reported that he found himself in artificial confrontations while trying to receive the one-time childbirth benefit.
