Massive Tree Slaughter in Aghveran Forest
Recently, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced that 10 million trees would be planted in Armenia on October 10, 2020. While efforts to bring this idea to life are underway following the Prime Minister's directive, a devastating act has taken place in the forests of Aghveran in the Kotayk region, where over 40 massive pine trees have been felled.
According to shamshyan.com, individuals whose identities remain unknown have committed a true act of vandalism against nature by cutting down more than 40 substantial pines aged between 40 and 60 years. The tree slaughter occurred just a few days ago, as evidence of the act still remains fresh.
