Kotayk Regional Administration Denies Tree Cutting Incident
The Kotayk Regional Administration has refuted claims regarding tree cutting in the region. According to a statement, the tree removals carried out in Aghveran involved trees that had been damaged by snowfall during the spring, leading to their breaking and uprooting.
As a result, these trees were marked, numbered, and reported by a senior specialist at the Razdan Forestry to the State Non-Commercial Organization 'Hayantar'. A team has since inspected the conducted work and found no violations.
This statement comes in response to earlier reports by Shamshyan.com about the alleged massacre of over 40 large pine trees in the Aghveran forests of Kotayk Province.
