It Will Be Warmer Than Usual: Surenyan
The head of the Armenian Weather Service at the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Gagik Surenyan, presented the weather and climate forecast for December on his Facebook page.
“December will be warmer than usual, with the monthly average temperature across the entire territory of the republic expected to be 1-2 degrees above normal, while the amount of precipitation will be above normal. At the very beginning of the month, on December 1-2, our country will be under the influence of a cyclone coming from the Mediterranean Sea, with precipitation expected in most regions, snow in mountainous areas, and rain in foothill and plain areas.
Note: When we say a warm December, we do not mean that the entire month will be continuously warm without any temperature drops. A warm December means that the majority of the days in the month will feature temperatures above normal; however, there may be significant decreases in temperature on certain days due to the intrusion of Arctic cold air currents,” he wrote.
