Citizen Attempts Self-Immolation in Front of Government

The Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations has reported that a citizen's attempt at self-immolation was prevented. According to the statement released by the Ministry, 'On November 29 at 14:16, the 911 service received information that a citizen was trying to self-immolate in front of the Government building.'

A firefighting unit from the Emergency Situations Ministry's rescue department in Yerevan, along with a psychological counselor from the psychological support division, arrived at the scene. Police officers managed to thwart the self-immolation attempt of Simon A. (born in 1981), who was subsequently taken to the Central Police Department.
