Video: The Theme of Turkish Rock Band's Music Video is the Legend of Akhtamar

The latest music video from the Turkish rock band “Manga,” titled “Pandkhutyan” (Yad Eller), presents a Turkish rendition of the legend of Akhtamar, as reported by ermenihaber.am.

The story revolves around a shepherd from the Van region (currently known as Gevas), who meets his fate in the stormy waves of Lake Van due to his love for Tamar, the daughter of the main priest of Akhtamar Island. After the shepherd drowns in the lake's waters, the beautiful Tamar also throws herself into the furious waves of the lake.

The director of the “Pandkhutyan” music video is Müge Manuş. It is worth mentioning that this Turkish alternative rock band has won numerous awards at music festivals held across Europe.
