‘Zhamanak’: Viktor Soghomonyan’s Brother Mikael Soghomonyan Dismissed from Office
‘Zhamanak’ newspaper reports that following the termination of Robert Nazaryan's powers and until Garegin Baghramyan's appointment, Mikael Soghomonyan, the brother of Viktor Soghomonyan—who is currently leading the Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) on behalf of Armenia's second president Robert Kocharyan—has been dismissed from his position as Deputy Chair of the PSRC.
According to information received, he has secured a position in the private sector, working as a consultant. The PSRC clarified that Soghomonyan's term of office had ended.
Mikael Soghomonyan had been working at the PSRC since 1999 and had been the head of the commission's staff since 2011. In 2017, by decision of Serzh Sargsyan, Mikael Soghomonyan was appointed Deputy Chair of the Public Services Regulatory Commission for a term of five years.
