Times: Official Fighting Corruption at the State Revenue Committee Removed from Position
According to the newspaper "Times", the head of the internal security department of the State Revenue Committee, Karen Hambardzumyan, who is officially tasked with combating corruption within the system, has been removed from his position as part of the process for employees at the State Revenue Committee to close the "year".
According to circulating rumors, the operation to "close the year" with taxpayers has not gone as smoothly as expected. The term "closing the year" is a well-known concept in tax circles. Every December, massive payments are made by taxpayers who have "cooked" the taxes throughout the year, amounting to 50 percent of the taxes hidden during the year, to officials of the State Revenue Committee.
It is reported that Hambardzumyan was implicated in this process. It is noteworthy that this is already the second or third time that Karen Hambardzumyan has been removed from the State Revenue Committee. For more details, refer to the newspaper's current issue.
