Second Veto Placed on Armenian Genocide Recognition Resolution in the US Senate
The US Senate has placed a second veto on the voting of the Armenian Genocide recognition resolution. This was reported by the Armenian National Committee of America. The veto was issued by Senator David Perdue from Georgia, who stated that it is not the right time to present the resolution.
The resolution was introduced in the Senate by Robert Menendez and Ted Cruz. It is worth noting that on November 14, another senator, Lindsey Graham, blocked the Armenian Genocide recognition resolution in the US Senate.
Earlier, the US House of Representatives had passed a resolution recognizing the Armenian Genocide.
