Citizens Surrender Weapons and Ammunition to Police
Thanks to the explanatory work of police officers, voluntary surrender of illegally held weapons and ammunition has been recorded again in regional subdivisions. A 40-year-old man who came to the Kanaker-Zeytun police station voluntarily handed over an F-1 grenade and more than 70 rounds of various calibers. According to him, these belonged to his deceased father.
A 40-year-old resident of Vardenis city also brought a factory-numbered rifle to the Vardenis police station, which is designed to fire 32mm ammunition. He stated that the "IZH" rifle belonged to his grandfather who passed away years ago.
A 72-year-old man from the village of Geghadir also voluntarily surrendered a single-barreled shotgun at the Garni division of the Kotayk police, stating that he found the firearm in his house's storage room.
Once again, we remind that those who voluntarily surrender illegally held weapons and ammunition are exempt from criminal liability.
