The filming of 'Mel', dedicated to the first champion-transgender in Armenian history, Meliné Dalouzyan, has begun at the National Cinema Center of Armenia.

'The music for the film has been composed by Elton John. Hovhannes Azoyan plays the lead role, and he looked very fitting for the transgender character, which is why we decided to cast him,' commented the film's director. He continued, 'Azoyan is a unique actor who can embody a transgender person, as well as a homosexual, a drug addict, and even animals.'
