Hovhannes Azoyan Denies He Will Portray Mel Daluzhyan

Recently, reports circulated online and on various news sites claiming that actor Hovhannes Azoyan would portray the main character, weightlifter Mel (Meline) Daluzhyan, in the "Mel" film, which has sparked extensive discussions.

The news outlet Tiv1 contacted the actor to clarify the legitimacy of these claims. Hovhannes Azoyan denied the information in an interview, describing it as a provocation.

It is worth noting that our calls to Hovhannes Azoyan went unanswered, and this denial has been posted on his Facebook page.

To recall, "Mel" is one of the feature projects that passed to the second stage from 65 applications submitted to the National Cinema Center of Armenia in 2019. The state allocated 20 million dram for the film's production.
