‘Jhoghovurd’. Testimonies Given Against Anna Vardapetyan's Father: Real Reasons for Resignation
‘Jhoghovurd’ newspaper writes: Why did the Deputy Minister of Justice Anna Vardapetyan resign, given that she had acquired a good reputation in the system and there seemed to be no dissatisfaction with her work? Vardapetyan left without any clarifications.
‘Jhoghovurd’ has revealed that the Deputy Minister's resignation is apparently linked to a criminal case involving her father. According to the sources of ‘Jhoghovurd’, A. Vardapetyan gave up her position to avoid speculation that she was assisting her father in evading alleged responsibility.
On September 23, the Prosecutor General's Office reported that law enforcement officials had discovered that officials from the Avan administrative district illegally influenced people to transfer money to the ‘Khut’ charitable foundation, of which the director is Deputy Minister Vardapetyan's father, Karen Vardapetyan.
According to ‘Jhoghovurd’, several individuals have testified against A. Vardapetyan's father, and Karen Vardapetyan has also been interrogated, though he denied any connection to these transactions.
