The Rock of the Tiger Enclosure at Yerevan Zoo Collapses
The rock in the tiger enclosure at the Yerevan Zoo has collapsed, but no harm has been done to the tigers. Christine Ghazumyan, the zoo's legal advisor, informed NEWS.am about the incident.
“A few stones have fallen off because they are natural rocks. That area is a separated space with electric fences,” said the legal advisor.
According to her, it is excluded that the animals face any danger: “It is safe, provided that no extraordinary event occurs, the tigers cannot escape. There is a 99% guarantee that the tigers cannot leave those enclosures. That is just a product of vivid imagination.”
She mentioned that there are currently two tigers in the zoo: “One was brought from the zoo of Manvel Grigoryan, and the other one is from the Yerevan Zoo itself.”
